New Friend

I have a new friend.  I can't even remember how long it's been since I could say that, but I do.

Her name is Laurie and I met her at Reese's gymnastic's class.  We've been talking during class for quite some time, but tonight was the first time we met outside class and Reese and I both had a great time.

I would never like to admit that I'm old, but I found out tonight that I'm 11 years older than she.  Can we truly be friends?  I feel like I'm dating...all the uncertainty of whether or not someone really likes you can be excruciating!  The girls played together tonight like champs, but how did we do?  I feel like we had relevant discussions, but was that just me wanting everything to go well?  I guess I won't know until we're either invited or not invited to their home again.

Keep your fingers crossed for me because I really like Laurie and want this to become a true friendship
