Writing

I've been working with Reese on spelling her name.  I came up with a silly rhyme that helped her memorize how to spell it.  "R E E S E, that spells Reese from A to Z".  Not an award winning jingle, but it worked for us.  Now she can recite it anytime you ask. I just wonder when she'll realize that she doesn't actually have to say "that spells Reese from A to Z"

Writing it is a whole new ballgame.  We've been working on "R" and she's gotten pretty good at it.  She can occasionally make an "e", but "s" has been out of the question.  She gets frustrated and then won't even try.

But, I think we've had a break through.  The other day, she accidentally drew an "s" and was super excited about it.  I made a huge deal about it, so she will give it a go every now and then.

We were outside playing sidewalk chalk the other day and she wrote out the whole thing for the first time ever.  I present to you....Reese!
